Pattern Reading Details

Model reading is a reading strategy used to support eye-to-line tracking of children who have difficulty in eye-to-eye line tracking, who cannot read fluently and who make mistakes while reading. In this strategy, the goal is for the child to see the prosodic reading model and try to imitate this model in subsequent readings. The first intervention that should be given to children who read slowly, incorrectly and without emphasis is to show the correct reading example. This is model reading.

Choir Reading Details

Choral reading is a reading strategy used for children who have difficulty in eye-to-line following, have low motivation to read, and cannot read fluently. It is based on accompanying the model that had previously done prosodic reading and trying to catch it. While increasing the speed of the child, on the other hand, by following the model, he develops eye line tracking. This stage is the preparation stage for repeated reading.

Repeat Reading 1 Details

It is the strategy that allows the child to read alone after model reading and choral reading. In this strategy, it is aimed to increase the amount of correct words that the child reads in one minute. The main goal in this strategy is to ensure that the child reads like an adult accompanying him in model and choral reading. In addition, the student's performance is measured before re-reading 2.

Performance Feedback 1

It is a reading strategy in which the correct number of words the child reads in one minute in Repeated Reading 1 is presented to the child as feedback. The aim of this strategy is to get the child to get an idea of the correct number of words read in one minute and to be motivated for the next reading.

Repeat Reading 2

It is a strategy that allows the child to read alone, as in the Repeated Reading 1 strategy. In this strategy, it is aimed to increase the amount of correct words that the child reads in one minute. The main goal in this strategy is to read more than the amount of words the child read in Repeat Reading 1. In addition, performance measurement is also made before the child moves to Repetitive Reading 3.

Performance Feedback 2

It is a reading strategy in which the correct number of words that the child reads in one minute in Repeated Reading 2 is presented as feedback. The purpose of this strategy is to help the child get an idea of the correct number of words read in one minute and to give feedback on whether he or she can read more than 1 word in Repeated Reading. It is also to keep the child motivated for the next reading.

Goal Setting

Goal Setting is a strategy that allows the child to set a goal for himself/herself for the next reading after the Repeated Reading 2 strategy and to increase his/her reading performance towards this goal. It is a cognitive strategy that improves not only the student's motivation to read, but also self-regulation skills.

Repeated Reading 3 Detay

It is a strategy that allows the child to read alone, as in the Repeated Reading 2 strategy. In this strategy, it is aimed to increase the amount of correct words that the child reads in one minute. The main goal in this strategy is to reach the reading target that the child set for himself in the previous stage or to read more than this amount of words. It is also the last performance of the student before the Graphical Feedback and Award.

Performance Feedback 3

It is a reading strategy in which the correct number of words read by the child in Repetitive Reading 3 per minute is presented to the child as feedback. The purpose of this strategy is to help the child get an idea of the correct number of words read in a minute and to give him feedback on whether he has reached the goal or not. In addition, this performance will be plotted on the graph.

Reward and Motivation

These two strategies are presented to the child together on the map screen. After the child reaches the goal in each text he reads, a level progression of his character in the relay race is presented to him as a reward. In addition, the child can challenge the children who use the application like himself and make a reading contest with them, so that he can maintain his motivation until all the levels in the application are completed.
